David is a graduate research assistant at the CSR. He is currently enrolled in the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs, pursuing a Master of Public Affairs degree. He received his bachelor’s degree from Maryville College in 2016. In addition, David has served in Kentucky state government at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. He has also worked on multiple political campaigns, specializing in field organizing and direct voter contact methods.

David is a passionate sports fan, an avid board gamer, and has recently become a passionate-if-unexperienced birder. He is extremely fond of tabby cats and loves getting outdoors.
