Angela Tharp earned a bachelor's and master's degree from Indiana University. In the two decades since, she has helped IU campuses and units identify, promote, and measure their marketing activities and value. She uses primary, secondary, and best practices research to guide teams toward better outcomes.

In 2012 Angela created the IU Panel, the first custom survey panel in higher education. She has facilitated hundreds of focus groups and interviews. As a qualitative researcher for the IU Center for Survey Research, she is designing a study to better understand what helps or hinders participation in major health studies like the IU Grand Challenges Person to Person Health Interview Study. Her work will inform study leaders on stop, start, or change opportunities likely to improve Hoosier experiences and response rates.
